              DEER SEASON POLICIES

This page is where you will find ALL the POLICIES for Deer Season here at Webb's Butcher Block.  We ask that you respect these policies and help our process run as smooth as possible.  

 

 

**If you arrive and we are CLOSED please use the 24hr drop box to the left of the garage doors.  Make sure you get a tag out of the metal box on front porch, fill out COMPLETELY, and place on your deer.   

**PLEASE keep in mind we are in the same boat like every other business in America  SHORTSTAFFED *BEPREPARED TO WAIT AND PLEASE HAVE PATIENCE.  We will NOT turn any deer away but IF time is an issue and you can’t or don’t want to wait,maybe consider quartering and freeze until the first of the year to bring it in. Just keep in mind we NO LONGER take deer meat after March 30th and start taking it again end of August**LASTLY We are doing the best we can folks.

Then text WEBBS to this number to SUBSCRIBE so that you can be notified about your deer order(s) being completed.  By doing this you will make our process run smoother and your notification wait time be much less of a wait.  

DEER MEAT DROP OFF TIME

We take Whole deer, quarter deer and boneless meat during all open seasons starting with Early Archery in  September through late Archery ending in January.  We NO LONGER will be taking any deer meat or other wild game meat from APRIL 1st through SEPTMEBER 1st.  

  EARLY ARCHERY, YOUTH, AND MUZZLELOADER SEASON INFORMATION 

24 hr drop cooler will be running for opening weekend of Archery. Just like every other year, you will need to get a tag from the box on the front porch, fill it out completely and securely place it on your deer. Place your deer in the cooler to left of the garage doors. Any deer left without a confirmation number will NOT be touched and will be considered an illegal harvest.

DEER PROCESSING CHANGE REQUEST INFO

All change request to orders MUST be made within 24hrs after placing initial order with our staff. It is the customers job to LOOK OVER their order BEFORE signing their paperwork to ensure we have correct NAME, ADDRESS, CELL PHONE, cuts and sausages selected.

                        TAXIDERMIST INFORMATION                                                             

Effective 2022-2023 season Webb's will NOT be sending any deer heads to taxidermist. It is NOW required for the hunter to remove the head from our facility themselves and take to the taxidermist of their choice. Any head left at our facility 48hrs will be charged a storage fee of $50.00 and we are  NOT responsible for any damages to heads. We have a cape out fee of $35.00 that MUST be paid before picking up the head. ONLY euro mounts for Trey Webb can be left at our facility.  

CAPE OUT SERVICES BUT NOT NEEDING PROCESSING SERVICES

If you kill a buck and need one of our guys to cape out your deer for taxidermist, but do NOT want us to process the deer or are not donating the deer to KY HUNTERS FOR HUNGRY, we will cape it for a $80.00 charge.  You MUST wait for the cape and you MUST take the deer carcass with you at the same time.  We will NOT hang the deer in our cooler for anyone to pick up at a later time.  

WE DO NOT PROCESS SMOKED SAUSAGES FROM ANY OTHER GAME OTHER THEN DEER AND ELK.   Wild Boar will ONLY be cut into standard cuts of loins, breakfast sauasge, roast. 

INDIANA HUNTERS

the law is still effective on NO spine, head or brain matter allowed across KY STATE LINES. Please continue to follow the rules that was put into place 2019-2020 season... PLEASE SHARE.. If you want us to make sausages from your deer we have partnered up with Travis McAfee of McAfee's Deer Processing..10977 Buffalo Trace Palmyra IN .. 502-643-3916. Take your deer to them for processing and he will send over meat for us to make your sausages.

HUNTERS FOR HUNGRY PROGRAM

Yes, we partcipate in the HUNTERS FOR HUNGRY PROGRAM....NO it does NOT cost you any money to donate your deer....HOWEVER, If, you kill a buck and want a cape out done for shoulder mount you will have to PAY the capeout fee and TAKE the deer head with you then.  We DO NOT send deer or ALLOW taxidermist to come to location any longer to get your heads...Sorry for any inconvience this may be but over the years there has been too much confusion and taxidermist drama.  

         DEER PICK UP AND PAYMENT INFORMATION 

You will have 21 days to pick your deer order up after your first text message left. If your order is left here after 21 days, you will be asked to pay over the phone with credit card. (we now have a 3% surcharge on all credit cards used)...We understand that numerous folks will bring us 2 or more deer a year and drive a good haul to do so. If you get a text for deer #1 and are awaiting for a call on deer #2 and so on please reply to that text msg that you have multiple deer you are waiting on. Please remember that all SMOKED SAUSAGES could take 6+ weeks to be completed from the date you drop the meat off.

 

We take cash, check, Visa, Mastercard and Discover cards.  All credit and debit cards have a 3% misc fee on them.
